Why You're Tired Even When You're Getting Enough Sleep

You’re getting what seems like enough sleep...but you’re still waking up tired, reaching for caffeine, or wondering why your energy disappears halfway through the day.
In this episode of Wellness Explained, I’m looking beyond the number of hours you spend in bed and exploring some of the less obvious reasons you may still feel exhausted.
We’ll talk about the difference between sleep quantity and sleep quality, how stress can affect how restorative your sleep actually is, and why things like alcohol, breathing patterns, and underlying nutrient deficiencies may be worth paying attention to.
I also discuss bloodwork that may be helpful to explore, including iron and ferritin, and some simple strategies that can support better-quality sleep and daytime energy.
Because sometimes the question isn’t simply, “Am I sleeping enough?”
It’s “Am I actually getting restorative sleep, and is there something else contributing to why I’m so tired?”
