Broccoli: A Nutritional Powerhouse

It's no doubt that vegetables carry an impressive nutritional profile. Broccoli, in particular, is a staple in our recommended daily allowance. Aside from it being associated with a lower risk of heart disease, there are multiple benefits that arise from implementing this vegetable into your daily intake:


  1. Helps Prevent Cancer:

Broccoli contains a powerful antioxidant and anti carcinogen that hinders the grows of breast, cervical, and prostate cancer.



2. Helps Curb Overeating

A cup of broccoli has as much protein as a cup of rice or corn with only half the calories.



3. Boosts Immune Health

A cup of broccoli has a large amount of beta-carotene, zinc & selenium which strengthens our immune response



4. Reduces Risk of Diabetes

Because of the high fiber and low sugar content, insulin is kept to a minimum



5. Fights Heart Disease

The carotenoid lutein, B6, and folate may prevent the risk of atherosclerosis, heart disease, and stroke



6. Promotes Healthy Bones

Contains more calcium than most dairy and Vitamin K which promote bone health and prevention of osteoporosis
